low cost is the main consideration; pyrex where thermal resistance is required; lenses & windows in special materials such as fused quartz,ZnSe,BaF2,Zerodur etc.
Precision : Diameter tolerance : ± 0.05mm;
Thickness tolerance : ± 0.1mm;
Centering tolerance : 3arc min;
Scratch/Dig: 60/40;
Focal length tolerance : ± 2%;
Wave front errors down to 1/10 wave.
Coatings : 1/4 wave MgF2@550nm;
Broad Band Anti Reflective
(R<0.5% from 425 to 675nm).
